About Us...

Location:
Our Club covers the Pittwater Council group of suburbs. This is the part of the Northern Beaches area of Sydney, from Mona Vale to Palm Beach. The area is virtually surrounded by water, being bordered by the Tasman Sea, Narrabeen Lake and Pittwater itself. The club is part of Rotary District 9680.

History:
The Club was formed on February 18, 1960 with the support of the Rotary Club Of Warringah. Our Charter was granted on July 28, 1960 with a membership of 23. Initially the Club met at the Newport Arms Hotel. Until 2004 the Club met at the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club at Newport and in 2004 we changed our meeting place. We now meet at the Royal Motor Yacht Club - Newport.

Club focus is on participation rather than just fund raising, with a number of ongoing programs that have become part of Pittwater community life. Our members help make community events such as “Breakfast on the Beach” on Australia Day, “Castles in the Sand” and the “Monster Motor Show” at Warriewood possible. Membership numbers reached 40 in 2003, bringing the Club into the medium size bracket. Club membership stands at 28.

Club meetings: Each Wednesday, 7:15 for 7:30 pm at the Royal Motor Yacht Club, Prince Alfred Parade, Newport, NSW
